DENTAL VENEERS
What Are Dental Veneers?
Veneers are custom-designed incredibly thin shells resembling natural teeth that are cautiously and creatively put together by your dentist and created in a dental lab. The veneers are then fused over your own teeth and can perform a handful of functions, the most general including straightening, whitening and lengthening. The main goal of having veneers applied is to offer you a stunning smile! This procedure is the best procedure we take advantage of today to offer our patients with the best smile feasible. We have an artistic eye and works with accomplished ceramists. Jointly, our results are amazing, yet natural.
Veneers Are Not the Same as Bonding
How do you recognize if dental bonding or veneers are the best choice? The abbreviated response is that bonding is commonly recommended for more minor tooth adjustments. Nonetheless, if you have teeth that are considerably discolored or have sustained heavy wear and tear, then veneers may be a preferable solution for you. On top of that, veneers are an advised choice for other large issues like damaged teeth, considerable gaps in your teeth, or even differences in the size and shape of your teeth. Because veneers are custom-made for each patient, they look a lot more like your natural teeth. In addition, you don’t have to worry about them becoming discolored over time, as they are made to be stain-resistant to the effects of coffee or wine drinking.
It takes two to three sessions with your dentist to fully perform the dental veneer process. First, we advise a consultative visit in which you sit down with your doctor to discuss the procedure. At this visit, we like to provide you with the possibilities to ask any questions you may have so that you fully are aware of the process. During the consultation, we will also establish the best treatment plan individualized to you and your schedule.
At the second visit, we begin the actual physical work of your veneers. At this point, your teeth are shaved down in preparation for application, and a temporary veneer is positioned on top of your teeth. These will serve as a placeholder until your long-term veneers are produced in a lab by our trusted ceramists and sent back to our office.
On your third and last visit, your temporaries are then substituted with your permanent, custom-made veneers.
